Salesforce said on its newsroom that Agentforce Coworker has passed 185,000 users, with usage up 21x in three months, and added a standalone option at $50 per user per month. Its own pricing page prices Agentforce work by the action, which puts two billing models for the same product family side by side.
What Salesforce announced
Agentforce Coworker is the company’s assistant for employees. A user hands it a job, and it plans the steps, calls the relevant Agentforce agents and workflows, and returns results for review. Salesforce’s announcement lists new connections to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, reusable Skills, Conversation History and the per-user price. Those four are available now.
Three more groups of features have dates. Coworker in Microsoft Teams, iOS and desktop apps for Mac and Windows, a Coworker MCP server and a free trial for Flex Credits customers are due in November 2026. Daily Digest, scheduled tasks and Coworker in the Field Service, Consumer Goods Cloud and Life Sciences Cloud mobile apps are expected in December. The post carries a standard caution that pricing and packaging are subject to change.
Customer figures in the post are small next to the 185,000 total. Fulton Bank has deployed more than 20 Coworker use cases for approximately 3,000 users. The Adecco Group is expanding Coworker across 40 countries. BACA Systems enabled it in an environment with 1,300 custom objects. The post does not say how many of the 185,000 users are on paid seats, how many are on trials, or what the 21x is measured against.
Two meters on one product line
Salesforce’s Agentforce pricing page shows the other side. Flex Credits cost $500 per 100,000 credits, and the page’s worked example prices two actions at 40 credits, or $0.20. That is 20 credits and $0.10 an action. The Agentforce User License, listed at $5 per user per month, requires Flex Credits on top. The Coworker User License is listed at $50 per user per month, with all Coworker searches included and 30 MB of indexing per user per month.
The arithmetic is short. At $0.10 an action, $50 buys 500 actions. Across 22 working days that is about 23 actions per user per day. A user who delegates fewer jobs than that costs less on metered credits. A user who delegates more costs less on the flat seat. Neither Salesforce page says how many actions a single Coworker job consumes under Flex Credits, so a buyer cannot place the break-even from public material alone.
In Salesforce’s words, “Teams can start small, measure the value, and expand with confidence.” The flat price helps with the second step only if usage per seat stays near the average. Salesforce says Coworker usage grew 21x in three months, which is the pattern that makes a per-action bill hard to forecast and a per-seat bill easy to forecast.
What it means for the buying committee
Budget owners now see a flat seat price for a tool whose workload is unpredictable. Finance gets a number it can put in a plan. The vendor gets a revenue line that does not rise when employees delegate more.
Usage-based terms at other vendors are shifting too. On November 2 OpenAI said it will pool ChatGPT and Codex usage into one allowance in December, covered in our report on the pooled allowance. Both changes move a buyer from counting separate meters to managing one number per user, and both leave open how heavy users are treated once they pass the average.
Cost controls are the second issue. On October 29 Salesforce added spend limits and a kill switch to Agent Fabric, as our coverage of Agent Fabric describes. A per-seat Coworker price sits outside a limit that counts credits. A committee that relies on those limits to cap agent spend should confirm whether Coworker jobs count against them.
On November 3 the company also agreed to buy a voice agent platform, covered in our report on Cresta. Taken together, the three items show one vendor selling agent capacity through several routes at once: a seat, metered credits and acquired products.
Actions for the CIO and CAIO
Ask the account executive for the Flex Credits cost of a typical Coworker job in writing, so the break-even above becomes a number for your own workload. Pull 90 days of Coworker usage by user before choosing a model, and find the share of users above and below 23 actions a day. Ask whether scheduled tasks, due in December, bill as the user’s own work or as separate actions, because they run without a person present. Confirm which of the November features sit in the per-seat price, since the post lists availability dates but not what each tier includes.
Record the contract terms now. The post says pricing is subject to change, and a seat price quoted before a feature reaches general availability is the figure most likely to be revisited.
